Tip line

Submit a tip.

Something the file should know about? Send it to staff review. A person reads every tip. Nothing publishes automatically, and anything actionable goes to the family or law enforcement, never onto the public file.

Before you write

Three rules of the tip line.

iPublic records only

We work from press releases, news coverage, and public documents. Do not send private records, rumors, or accusations.

iiWe need a way to reach you

Email or phone: at least one. Your contact details are never published.

iiiNever name a suspect publicly

If your tip concerns a person, staff routes it privately to the family or law enforcement. It never goes on the site.

What should the file know?

Reviewed by a person. Nothing publishes automatically.

Stick to what is verifiable. If it came from a public source, link it below.

Email or phone: at least one, so we can reach you. Neither is ever published.

What happens next

Received, reviewed, routed.

01Received

Your tip lands in the staff lead queue. You get a confirmation if you left contact info.

02Reviewed

A person checks it against the public record. Anything that holds up becomes a lead on the file.

03Routed

Actionable leads go family-first: to the family contact when one is engaged, otherwise to the law enforcement tip line. You hear back if you left a way to reach you.
