Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Suzanne Lyall, 19, a SUNY Albany sophomore, vanished on March 2, 1998, after finishing her closing shift at a software store in Crossgates Mall and boarding a bus back to campus. A classmate saw her get off at Collins Circle around 9:45 p.m., but she never reached her dorm. The next day, $20 was withdrawn with her debit card at a convenience-store ATM. Her name tag was later found far from her walking route. She has never been found and no one has ever been charged. Her parents' activism afterward led to missing-college-student reporting legislation.
