Summary

What happened, as the record shows.

Sherry Ann Culp, 36, was a mother of two who worked in the accounting department of DesignTech International and was eight and a half months pregnant. On January 16, 1998, at about 6:00 p.m., she was shot at point blank range shortly after getting into her teal green Honda Civic on Dynatech Court in the Newington area of Springfield, in Fairfax County. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man in a dark colored hooded jumpsuit running near the scene, and a maroon pickup truck was seen parked nearby. Culp was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where her daughter Kelsey was delivered and survived for two days before dying. No one has been arrested or charged, and in January 2023 the FBI and Fairfax County police announced a $10,000 reward on the 25th anniversary of the murders.
