Summary

What happened, as the record shows.

Robert M. Woody, 31, and his wife Patricia Ann Woody, 34, were found dead in their home on Rudy York Road outside Cartersville, Georgia, on April 25, 1990. Robert had been beaten and stabbed, and Patricia had been strangled and stabbed. They were last seen alive at 11:00 p.m. on April 24, leaving a friend's house, and investigators believe the murders occurred between midnight and 3:00 a.m. Because there were no signs of forced entry, investigators believed the assailant knew the victims, and that Robert was the target.
