Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Richard Aderson, 47, was driving home to LaGrange, New York, on February 5, 1997, when his car was involved in a minor collision on eastbound Interstate 84 in Fishkill. Both drivers pulled over near Exit 12, and Aderson was shot once in the chest during the stop. He returned to his car, called 911, and gave a description of the other driver and the vehicle before dying while being taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh.
