Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Patricia Ann Adkins, 29, a Honda plant supervisor and single mother, clocked out just after midnight on June 29, 2001, as the Marysville, Ohio plant shut down for the July 4 week. Friends said she planned to leave on a secret vacation with a boyfriend, riding hidden in the bed of his truck, and coverage says she had loaned him about $90,000. Her sister reported her missing on July 8 after she failed to pick up her daughter. The boyfriend denied a romantic relationship and has never been publicly named or charged. He is presumed innocent. Adkins was declared legally dead in 2006, and no one has ever been arrested in her disappearance.
