Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Lori Ceci Bova, 26, had dinner at the Red Lobster in Lakewood, New York on June 7, 1997 with her husband Tyrone and her sister. Her husband told authorities that after an argument at their apartment she went outside at about 2:00 a.m. on June 8 to smoke and take a walk and never returned. She left her purse, money, and identification behind, and there has been no bank activity since. A profile of the case describes her husband as a person of interest who never cooperated with the investigation; he was never charged with anything in connection with her disappearance, he died in a car accident in 2018, and anyone discussed in connection with the case is presumed innocent unless charged and convicted. Bova has never been found.
