Summary

What happened, as the record shows.

Kayla Mae Croft-Payne, 18, was living in a trailer between Chehalis and Napavine in Lewis County in the spring of 2010. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office said she was a frequent MySpace user leading up to her disappearance and that her account has not been accessed since April 28, 2010. A friend reported her missing on May 5, 2010 after several days without contact. Local reporting said the last place detectives could verify she was seen was a trailer park in the Toutle area, and that tips were followed in Cowlitz and Pierce Counties. Family members and supporters held public vigils in Chehalis in 2013 and 2014 to keep her case in view. No arrest or named suspect appears in the sources reviewed, and she remains missing.
