Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Jamie Lynn Santos, 27, had felt unwell on October 27, 1991, cancelled her bookings, and rented movies at her home at 1765 Stonehedge Court in Wheeling, Illinois. At about 11:30 a.m. on October 28, an unidentified man called 911 from a pay phone to report a woman not breathing at that address and hung up. Paramedics found Santos smothered with a pillow, with signs of a struggle and no forced entry. The caller has never been identified, and police have not determined whether he was involved or was a bystander. Evidence was submitted for DNA testing in 2011. Her sister Laurie has kept the case public. No one has been arrested or charged.
