Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Heather Teague, 23, was sunbathing at remote Newburgh Beach on August 26, 1995 when a witness across the Ohio River reportedly watched through a telescope as she was grabbed by the hair and dragged into the woods. Her car and belongings were left behind. A man named by law enforcement and media as the primary suspect died by suicide before any charges were filed; he was never charged and must be presumed innocent.
