Summary

What happened, as the record shows.

Skeletal remains were found on September 8, 2004, by bow hunters inside a tent at a remote campsite at about 9,700 feet elevation in the White River National Forest, 12 trail miles from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. No cause of death could be determined, though it may have been natural. A notebook held entries addressed to 'Lib' mentioning cremation; the tent also held $600 in cash and National Geographic trail maps with a marked route. The man had severe back and neck degeneration and extensive gold dental work. He remains unidentified and is still listed on Colorado's official cold-case site.
