Eric Tamiyasu, 41, was found decomposed on his bed in Hood River, Oregon, on June 30, 2001, after days of silence. Deputies at first saw no foul play and had his bedding burned before the autopsy. The autopsy found three .22 caliber bullets in his head. The death, first treated as natural, was reclassified as a homicide. No one has ever been charged.
