Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Eric Lee Franks, 38, of Ohio, was staying at the Miller Motel in Bridgeport Township, near Saginaw, Michigan, in early 2011 after learning he had a teenage daughter in the area. The motel owner last saw him on March 14, 2011. His family received periodic emails afterward, then reported him missing in November 2011. In 2020 his missing car surfaced from an estate sale, traced to a garage in Saginaw County where it had apparently been kept for years. Police treat the case as a suspected homicide.
