Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Connie Saylor Johnson, 76, an experienced outdoorswoman and former U.S. Forest Service ranger, was working as a cook at a remote hunting camp near the Selway River in Idaho when she vanished from the camp trailer with her border collie, Ace. Her handgun was found under a coat left on a table. Hunters returning after three days, on October 5, 2018, found her and Ace gone. About three weeks later Ace turned up alone at Moose Creek Ranger Station, about 15 miles from camp. Johnson has never been found.
