On November 15, 2008, a vehicle known to be driven by him was found abandoned and burned near Mumford in Robertson County, Texas, and on November 18, 2008, Texas EquuSearch located his body in a rural section of Robertson County. Investigators determined he had been shot before a failed attempt to incinerate his body. No one has been charged.
