Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
On October 30, 1995 a bow hunter found a bone in an open field outside Albuquerque, New Mexico; excavation revealed a shallow grave holding the skeletal remains of a girl aged 15 to 20 (NCIC U020005854). Her skull was never recovered, only a lower jaw found years earlier at a different spot, so no facial reconstruction is possible. A cameo locket and a fibula deformity, possibly causing a pigeon-toed gait, are the main clues; a forensic anthropologist determined she was likely stabbed. The FBI ViCAP alert classifying her an unidentified homicide victim remains live; she was never identified.
