Summary
What happened, as the record shows.
Arelie Yeraldine Garcia Sanchez, 25, left the Salinas apartment she shared with her mother at 6:34 a.m. on September 22, 2022, ahead of a 7:30 a.m. shift at a Chevrolet dealership ten minutes away. She never arrived. Her phone last pinged in the Big Sur area, and her red Honda Accord was found locked at a Highway 1 pull-off near the Little Sur River, keys in the ignition, her phone and wallet inside, with no indications of foul play at the car. Searches by drone, on foot, and with a cadaver dog found nothing. Her phone and bank accounts have shown no activity.
